As a member of a quartet that sings purely for pleasure I can relate to your comments, Liz. Slowing things down certainly helps, and we are also improving with sound as our confidence increases. I also believe that you have to have a feeling of 'trust' in one another to perform as rehearsed, and so good vocal quality is maintained. We also duet parts when we hit a tricky spot which quickly irons out the problem, and we have also had 'trio' rehearsals even though it does all take time. I also think it is a great idea to put to any chorus, and I hope it's ok if I try to get some quartets going in mine?! Kind regards, Nova.
