This unremittingly cheerful vision of utopia was the Doobie Brothers' first big hit. The arrangement won't challenge anyone's vocal range, indeed there is headroom to move it up or down from the E major it's written in to suit a particular ensemble. But it does require a degree of rhythmic nimbleness to coordinate the the texture, in which the melody is accompanied by an active, driving bass and riffs recalling the original's guitar figures.
